The first thing I would like to say here is obviously if your read my Homepage, I'm not a medical doctor. However, there are a number of Quote Red Flags if one is Bipolar. I recommend anyone who even remotely thinks they have bipolar to read TIME Magazines August 19, 2002 issue. There's a number of great articles in this issue which discuss Bipolar. Below are some of most obvious symptoms associated with Bipolar disorder.
Your Depressed When You Experience the following symptoms:
Feelings of guilt and worthlessness.
Feeling helpless.
Thoughts of death and/or suicide.
Restlessness.
Irritability.
Difficulty concentrating or remembering.
Difficulty making decisions.
Decreased energy or fatigue.
Loss of interest in ordinary activities.
Loss of interest in sex.
Persistent sadness, anxiousness or emptiness.
Sleep problems, including insomnia.
Over sleeping or waking up too early.
Changes in appetite or weight gain/loss.
Feelings of hopelessness or pessimism
When one goes through a MANIC phase these are some of the symptoms:
Staying up for long hours, feeling like you don't need sleep.
Extreme euphoria, like you are on top of the world, and could do anything.
Grandiosity.
Difficulty managing money, bouncing checks.
Buy things you don't need.
Can't balance your checkbook.
Credit cards always maxed out.
Getting into trouble with the law, not counting traffic tickets.
Start new projects before you finish the last ones, and nothing ever gets done.
Promiscuity.
Get excited easily, talk too fast.
*Please if you are experiencing some or all of these symptoms contact a doctor immediately!
